New Zealand is a beautiful country, and not just because some of the most spectacular films in cinema’s histrory were made here. (Just to name drop a few: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Braveheart, King Kong, The Last Samurai). Perhaps, what makes New Zealand lovely is its sense of calm and quiet, its possibilities for transformation, and its lush greenness that declares itself as one of the last stronghold of the planet. With this beauty comes a somewhat stress-free attitude shown by some of the friendliest people in the world.

If you’re visiting New Zealand for a while, and you think you have everything down pat, think again. Check your luggage, your travel arrangements and schedules, get travel advice, consult free online classifieds for the best yet cheapest travel package. And then take a deep breath. New Zealand is going to be such heady, but well-worth-it fun.

If you try to see everything in a couple weeks or even a month, you just won’t appreciate the North or South Islands. A good alternative is to go on tour around the country in a rented campervan. Discovering it by campervan is a wonderful way to see the spectacular sights New Zealand has to offer.

One of the principal regrets many travellers have is they rush from once place to another, to see all the ‘touristy’ things and squeeze everything in over a very short time. If you are taking leave from work, you will have a more quality holiday if you take it all very slowly and leisurely, making your New Zealand trip is worthwhile.

To travel around New Zealand on a campervan, you just need your driver’s license which gives proof of age. Secondly, you must be not under 20 years old. Prices range depending on the type and size of campervan you want. Prices can begin as low as $40 a day, which is a cost-saver when you consider that you won’t need to stay in a hotel or motel anymore, and can purchase, and even make your own food.

Thirdly, you must agree to a minimum number of days, normally six to seven being the criterion. This minimum may be tripled during tourist season, usually after Boxing Day (December 26). New Zealand has first-rate roads and many destinations to stop and relax. You can find nice restaurants that serve top-food, and you can cruise at your own speed.

New Zealand’s two islands are well-worth seeing, especially at a casual pace. Hiring a campervan is the most convenient way to do this, and lets you to see parts of the country that most hurried tourists will miss. Before you know it, you’ll be exploring New Zealand as if in an endless, lovely movie, cinematic, exhilarating, larger than life.
