Classifieds Online spend might grow
According to the news that after the global financial crisis most of the online classifieds, buy sell trade and sell online spending is expected to increase this year. This has been reported from the data figures stated that online advertising spending increased 17 per cent in the March 2010 quarter compared to the same quarter last year. This figure and data has been released by the industry association Interactive Advertising Bureau.
From the statement of Ninemsn national sales director Nicholas Gray said the online classifieds advertising is increasing in the online market after its recovery from flat time. The data found that online expenditure for the first three months of 2010 was $512.5 million, steady from the fourth quarter of 2009.
‘The good news is that even through the global financial crisis the online advertising market continued to grow,’ Mr Gray told AAP.
The total percentage of online share has been reported to be increase up to 20 percent of total media consumption time. Mr Gray added that there was still possible for expansion which ‘will carry on until the end of the year. Since the enthralling consumer goods markets were at this time taking up the online medium for classified online advertising after their previous disinclination.
