From the news released according the online classifieds business in UK has recently increased their expenses. From the research conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers for the IAB the online classifieds spend in the country increase 4.2 percent year-on-year during 2009 and reached £3.5 billion.

With 9.5 percent year-on-year increase at the same time as display-ad expenditures in reality dropped 4.4 percent according to the IAB. Nevertheless the video advertising expenses 140 percent more on online video ads than they did the year before. However according to the report this drop off in online classifieds is because of the recession within the economy and investors in the areas of cars and jobs.

Online classifieds fell down 5.3 percent over the year.  Despite that the IAB sees online spend mounting and progressing to get the budget from other advertising media leading to “a healthier 2010.”
